On behalf of property owner SBB, Akuro has worked on the renovation of Fridaskolan in Mölnlycke for several years. The school had been operating under a temporary building permit due to altered operations. The latest sub-project involved renovating the outdoor environment to, among other things, enable a new zoning plan for the area and create a better sound environment in the schoolyard. This also included improving access to the school and providing better parking options for both bicycles and cars. The work was completed in August 2025, and a long-awaited final occupancy permit was issued.
Akuro's areas of expertise included ground and landscape design, early-stage discussions with SBB regarding the new zoning plan, and close communication with the school throughout the construction period.
In the next phase, the schoolyard itself will be renovated on behalf of Fridaskolan.
