For many years, Akuro has worked with Vasakronan's properties in Nordstan. The refurbishments have included both internal office renovations, shop renovations and restaurants, as well as external façade works and solar panels.
In part of the property Nordstan 10:23, plant rooms have been converted into modern office premises.
Together with the property owner, Akuro is also investigating various possibilities for building additional storeys on parts of the property.Nordstan is constantly changing, and there is always a project under way. Bastard Burgers has just been completed and opened, and Akuro is currently working on Scorett's new flagship store on Götgatan, as well as Vasakronan's new bicycle room in the basement of Thulehuset.
Our project manager Johanna says:
"Nordstan is so alive, and there are always lots of people on the move. The Nordstan joint property association is responsible for all the streets and loading bays. Collaboration with them is important, as is ensuring that shops and office tenants are not disturbed during refurbishments.Every contract looks different: sometimes we rebuild everything, sometimes only certain parts – which then usually involve major structural changes, lifts, escalators and HVAC – and sometimes we are only there to oversee the tenant's works on behalf of the property owner. Exciting assignments with a real pulse, right at the centre of the action!"
Through this constant work of change, we at Akuro help shape Scandinavia's leading shopping centre when it comes to refurbishments of offices, retail spaces and restaurants.
