The residential area of Tingberget is located in direct proximity to Kungsbacka city center. It is Aranäs AB's first and largest residential area, comprising a total of 282 rental apartments and some commercial premises. The area, built between 1960 and 1963, is now facing an upgrade beyond the ordinary. All buildings will undergo a complete renovation, both internally and externally. A total of approximately 30,000 m2 GFA will be reviewed with the aim of offering a more modern standard and an enhanced overall impression for the entire area. Several buildings are planned for a two-story extension. In close cooperation with the municipality, the design and content are being monitored, as the area's 1960s character, with certain period-specific details, is to be preserved.
Carrying out such a significant transformation greatly impacts Aranäs' key stakeholders, the tenants. Great effort is therefore being made to minimize the negative impact of the construction work. The evacuation of all tenants places high demands on coordination, scheduling, and communication. This is something Aranäs and Akuro have planned for throughout the entire implementation planning process. Akuro has acted as project and design manager, as well as the PBL control officer. In our role, a challenge lies in making wise and long-term choices for technical systems, product, and energy solutions that will last for many years to come. Creatively balancing sustainability, impact, and economy has characterized our daily work as project managers throughout both design and implementation.
Our design and construction manager Erik Carlberg says:
“The scope and character of the area make the project particularly interesting, where modern solutions and new plans are blended with the old. The long-term ownership and the property owner's care for the area and its tenants also make the project special.”
Akuro's project team consists of Peter Lindberg and Eric Carlberg. If you want to know more about the project, please contact one of them at peter.lindberg@akuro.se or erik.carlberg@akuro.se .
